Microsoft Acquires Ally.io To Improve Employee Experience

Microsoft has acquired Ally.io, a leading OKR (objectives and key results) company, to improve the employee experience by aligning people’s work with team goals and company mission.

This acquisition will allow Microsoft to leverage technology for bringing a deeper connection to purpose, work, and results in the hybrid world. Ally.io will join the Microsoft Viva family as a part of its employee experience platform (EXP) to help organisations embrace the new digital work life.

Ally.io is one of the most trusted and successful names in the segment of OKR category that is seen by market experts as an emerging and fast-growing space. Since its launch in 2018, Ally.io has been appreciated by over 1,000 leading high-tech, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare businesses across more than 80 countries.

The acquisition will power a new Microsoft Viva module to deliver a holistic experience with intelligent and actionable insights in the flow of work. Microsoft now plans to bring Ally.io into the Microsoft cloud, evolve the existing integrations with Microsoft Teams, and weave Ally.io into Viva, Office, Power BI, and the broader set of Microsoft 365 apps and services.
