Microsoft Announces Landmark Agreement On Classified Cloud

Microsoft and Lockheed Martin have announced a landmark expansion of their strategic relationship to guide the next generation of technology for the Department of Defense (DOD).

The latest secure framework of Microsoft will help Lockheed Martin become the first non-government entity to independently operate inside the Microsoft Azure Government Secret cloud ushering in a new era of cloud opportunities for the industry.


The R&D agreement between the two organizations will expand their existing collaboration to deliver advanced networking and secure 5G capabilities at the tactical edge. Furthermore, Microsoft Azure will leverage the digital transformation journey of Lockheed Martin to enhance flexibility and choice, accelerate enterprise-wide productivity gains to deliver innovation at scale, and create the next generation of defense technologies.
